Elder Sherry L. Hanchett is a woman who knows what it takes to face a challenge head-on and come out victorious.
Hanchett teaches and preaches the Word of God, in a simple way that can be applied to everyday life. She is a Godly helpmeet to her husband for some thirty-plus years, both in the home and church. She’s always encouraging others and knows her place in God.
I am a woman of God that knows my Destiny and Purpose in God. He is the Author and Finisher of my faith. Without Him in my life, I’ll be nothing, like a sheep that has gone astray.

Elder Sherry L. Hanchett was born in Irving, TX; on December 6, 1962, to the parents of the late, Mr. James Jackson and Mrs. Joerine Jackson. She attended W. T. Haynes Elementary School, Crockett Middle School, and Irving High School, and graduated from New Beginning Christian Academy with honors. She is an honor graduate of Sheer Cuts Beauty Academy of Arlington, TX. She also attended Southern Bible Institute, North Lake College, and Texas Community College, majoring in Psychology. She is the wife of Rev. Joshua Hanchett; proud mother of Destiny Sherrelle Hanchett and grandmother to Kaiser Josiah Hanchett. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, dancing, working out, reading, visiting some of North Texas Favorite Restaurants, singing, entertaining her family. She loves spending quality time with her husband Joshua, daughter Destiny, and grandson Kaiser.

She was called to Gospel Ministry, in December 1996. She was ordained, on May 15, 1998, by the Honor Bishop Kenneth B. Spears, Senior Pastor of The First Saint John Baptist Church of Forth, Texas, and Texas State Bishop of The Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship. She is admired as a woman that possesses dynamic leadership skills and maintains a consistent spirit of excellence. God gave her the vision that Women should become Women of Destiny, empowered and mature in God, totally depending on Him for everything. No matter what struggles they may face.

In February 2006, she Founded Destiny House of Page, which ministers to young men and young girls, who are incarcerated at the Henry Wade Juvenile Detention Center, in Dallas, Texas. Destiny House of Page also reaches out to Men, Women who face Domestic Violence, and the Founder of “When You Think You Can’t God Can. Elder Sherry L Hanchett is a Dynamic and Anointed woman of God that receives multiple invitations to expound on God’s Word through her awesome preaching and teaching ability. Elder Sherry L. Hanchett is currently a member of The Potter’s of Dallas, TX; where Bishop T. D. Jakes is the Senior Pastor and First Lady Serta Jakes.
